Charity
The Official Charity of the Pasadena Half Marathon is the Pasadena Ronald McDonald House. What a great way to give back to the City of Pasadena and make a positive impact on the community that we will run through on January 22, 2017.
The Pasadena Ronald McDonald House provides a community supported “home away from home” for families coming into Pasadena to seek advanced medical treatment for their critically or terminally ill children. Premature births, cancer and other critical illnesses can put unimaginable stress on a family and, in addition, many families must travel great distances looking for treatments and answers not found near their home – Pasadena Ronald McDonald House is here to help.
The Pasadena Ronald McDonald House opened on February 14, 2004. Since then, they have served more than 18,600 children and their families. They not only provide families of critically ill children a place to stay, but also provide meals cooked by volunteers, a fully stocked kitchen, pet therapy, monthly family activities, laundry facilities, computers and internet access, local transportation to hospitals and stores and a supportive staff.
The Pasadena Ronald McDonald House is a program of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern California.
