Thank you to the Pasadena Ronald McDonald House for being the Official Charity of the Pasadena Half Marathon & 5K at the Rose Bowl. What a great way to give back to the City of Pasadena and make a positive impact on the community that we will run through.

The Pasadena Ronald McDonald House® is a “home-away-from-home” for families with critically-ill children, keeping them close to one another, their doctors and needed medical care. The House is built on the simple idea that nothing else should matter when a family is focused on the health of their child – not where they can afford to stay, where they will get their next meal or where they will lay their head at night to rest.

The Pasadena Ronald McDonald House has 12 bedrooms and is located across the street from Huntington Memorial Hospital. Families staying at the House will have access to a fully stocked pantry, meals prepared by volunteer groups, computers, a large yard with outdoor seating and a playground. Activities are coordinated by the House with volunteer groups to help families cope while their child is receiving treatment. Those activities have included pet therapy, recreational activities and parties. Since opening on Valentine’s Day in 2004 the House has served more than 21,900 children and their families. The Pasadena Ronald McDonald House is a program of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern California. For more information, please visit our website at
